DELTA EAGLES WIN SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Delta Eagles blasted the Muncie Southside Rebels out of the IHSAA Football Playoffs with an OVERPOWERING 42-6 victory.

The Eagles held the Rebel offense to single digits for the second time this season. The Rebels had been averaging 40.7 points per game.

Delta held the Rebels to just 95 yards rushing and 135 yards passing with 57 of those coming on 1 play. The Rebels were averaging over 151 yards of passing per game and over 320 yards rushing.

The Delta defense made the Rebels commit 3 interceptions and 1 fumble that the Eagles recovered.

The Delta Offense scored 42 points on a variety of plays from the ground and thru the air!

The Delta Offense scored 14 points in the first 3 quarters before calling off the dogs in the 4th quarter.

The Eagles take their record to 12-0 for the season. The sectional championship is the first since the 2005 Eagles took the crown.

The Eagles will face the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger for the regional title @ EAGLE STADIUM, November 14, 2008, 7:00pm.
